Net-Zero homes - energy-efficient solutions to an affordable housing crisis

The goal of the development is not just to meet a critical housing need, but to bring the “first net-zero community to the Western Slope.” Holy Cross Energy, a sustainable energy provider serving the Roaring Fork Valley, is treating the project as a pilot program, working with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to study the efficiency and energy demand of these types of homes, as well as how comfortable they are for owners.
